The Wisconsin Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Course is a 12 hour series of instruction designed to provide the information required to acquire a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier (DCQ) license. This course is broken into four segments that each address a particular topic area.
The first segment of the course discusses construction laws and practices. The following are some of the topics covered in this segment:
- Contracts and Contract Law
- The Wisconsin Trade Practices Code
- OSHA
- Unemployment Insurance
The second segment of the course covers building codes, starting with universal building codes and then moving on to municipal building codes.
The course ends with an overview of the Energy Conservation Code and HVAC Code.
